Hey All,

You’ve heard of high blood pressure, heart disease and stroke but what about P.A.D? Three out of four Americans are not familiar with Peripheral Arterial Disease but P.A.D. will affect 1 in 20 Americans over the age of 50 and 1 in 5 over the age of 70. If you?

· Smoke, or used to smoke

· Have diabetes

· Have high blood pressure

· Have abnormal blood cholesterol

· Are of African American or Hispanic ethnicity

· Have a personal history of vascular disease, heart disease or stroke

·   Have Claudication? – the symptom of fatigue, heaviness, tiredness, or cramping in

the leg muscles (calf, thigh, or buttocks) that occurs during activity such as walking

and goes away when you rest

· Have Skin wounds or ulcers on the feet or toes that are slow to heal
