My company is relocating to Austin in August and it looks very likely that we'll be relocating with the company.

My wife and I are very interested in new construction and have to say that our early favorite for where we'd like to move is Walsh Trails. We concentrated our search both north and west of Austin and neither one of us was particularly fond of the Pflugerville area. My company will be located in the Domain and it's important to me to have a short commute!

In any case, as homeowners in Walsh Trails, I'd love to know how your experience was with your builder. We haven't chosen who we'll be going with but it appears our choices are Wilshire, Gehan and David Weekley. I'd be more interested to hear about anything that went wrong. I've been scouring the Internet to see what people's experiences have been with some of the local builders but I'd love to hear from the people that live there in the development.

My wife is due in March so we'd have a newborn moving along with us. I also have a nine year old daughter that would be with us at various times during the year. Knowing how "child friendly" the neighborhood is would also be helpful!
