Hi everyone---

My wife and I are moving into Walsh Trails. We are having a Gehan Home built in the back section. We are very excited about moving into the neighborhood. We should have our house completed in June.

I wanted to ask everyone, how is traffic in the morning at the light at Parmer and Brushy Creek?

Sincerely,

The Broome's

Hey! Glad to meet you! I had another person ask me about traffic awhile back and posted here in this thread about it.

Hi Broome family!

I'm Celeste (husband is Dwayne) and we built a Kennedy in February 2009 at 515 Williams Way. Welcome to the neighborhood! Ironically, my next-door neighbors in Victoria, TX had the last name Broome. Could you be related? A lot of their family is from the Seadrift area on the coast.

As for traffic at Parmer/Brushy Creek....NOT FUN AT RUSH HOUR! I have to be at work at 0800 (on the NE side, at Cameron Road/183 - about 16 miles) and if I leave my house any later than 0710, I will sit through at least 4 light cycles at Brushy Creek/Parmer. (The longer you wait, the more light cycles you have to sit through - traffic often backs up way past the new townhomes on Brushy Creek Road as the time approaches 0730.) Then it backs up badly at Avery Ranch and again at RM 620. If I get out of my driveway by 0710, there really isn't much trouble.

In the afternoons, I leave work at 1630. Traffic is really backed up at Avery Ranch/Parmer but it seems to move quickly. The ability to scoot down the shoulder across the bridge at Brushy Creek Road helps me get turned off Parmer a bit quicker. However, if I wait and leave work right at 5pm or even later, traffic is a lot worse.

During the afternoon rush hour, you will sit through many, many lights if you're trying to get OFF Brushy Creek Road onto Parmer - the traffic flow system definitely favors Parmer Lane in the afternoons.

Any other time of the day, there really isn't a big issue - yet!

Drop by and say hello anytime! We'd love to meet you! Also, if you have any other questions, please feel free to email me at celeste.havis@gmail.com. If you're on Facebook, add me as a friend and join our Walsh Trails group!!
